I am a potter from North Shropshire making both functional tableware and more sculptural work. My functional range is designed for everyday use and is hand made to be comfortable for day to day living. I fire to stoneware temperatures in both wood and gas fired kilns using a combination of wheel thrown and hand building techniques to make my tableware and decorative pieces. When I can I try to explore the concept of how nature may take back the modern world by use of high iron clays and traditional Oribe green and ash glazes in my decorative and sculptural work.
