Alice first approached pottery while on a school exchange in Canada in 2013. While it was love at first sight, she didn’t pick it up again until 2021, when looking for a creative outlet to balance a stressful PhD in molecular biology.

Since then, Alice’s skills and investment in the craft have grown through a mixture of self-directed learning, experimenting, courses, and even teaching. She is currently a member of Stable Yard Pottery in North London.

Alice Makes Pottery specialises in unique and playful functional pottery meant to be enjoyed every day. All pots are lovingly wheel-thrown in stoneware and finished by hand. Alice draws inspiration from her Italian heritage and the patterns and shapes she encounters in London and on her travels, resulting in quirky yet timeless collections.
