Nausika creates a delicate wonderland of botanical stories in porcelain. It is the perfect material to make this kind of fragile and natural work. Porcelain is pure and its white color adds a poetic touch to the shape and form. Every stem, leaf or flower is hand modelled and high fired.
The pieces she makes are a modern interpretation of the classical herbarium and the Victorian Wunderkammer.
Her work is displayed in antique boxes, or scientific glass test tubes or under glass domes. Isolating the works, either single or in collections, imbues them with a quality of wonder and awe.
It’s an invitation to look closer, slow down and really observe nature’s amazing beauty with an attentive eye.
