2024 – Taking part in Potfest Scotland – Scone Palace

Caitlin Bowbeer is a potter and illustrator from the West Coast of Scotland who is currently working from her studio in Edinburgh. With a background in Illustration and Graphic Design, she combines these practices to create contemporary and functional pieces that are minimal yet characterful and designed to be used in everyday spaces.

Caitlin’s most recent works focus on experimenting with different types of clays and neutral glazes, creating earth-tone collections. Many of her current works are inspired by cycling trips around Scotland. The dramatic landscapes and nature found in coastal and rural areas have been translated to create each collection of ceramic work. Caitlin has also been looking at Scottish history, botany and folklore as subjects to inspire new collections.
