Charlotte Miller is a Dorset based ceramicist who creates handmade sculptures and homewares inspired by domestic animals and the peculiarities of the British. Her anthropomorphic, whimsical budgie and animal sculptures are both endearing and nostalgic, whilst her range of quirky homewares are a tribute to the eccentric and the kitsch.
Charlotte uses a combination of mold making and hand building techniques to create her animals and uses copper oxide, engobes, underglazes, decals and lustre to decorate them. Her mugs, pots and vessels are hand thrown using underglaze and stoneware glazes to decorate.
