2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Spring
My practice is deeply influenced by the colours and textures of the North East coast. Drawing from photographic references and sketches created on location, I merge these recordings in the studio with memory, imagination, and abstract mark-making.
My thrown forms offer a structured canvas for experimental stoneware glaze. The contrast between the organised shape and form of the pieces and the abstract, often expressionistic glazes creates a sense of balance, combining structure with self-expression. This dialogue between control and spontaneity is central to my work.
