2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray

My work is heavily influenced by a 1970s childhood in Belfast, where the outside was a cityscape of green copper domes and the iconic yellow cranes, all backed by dun hills. By contrast the interiors were riots of purples, yellows, oranges and browns. I now live and work one the edge of the Peak District in the Derbyshire Dales. The character of my current landscape, where fields sit beside vast quarries and industrial chimneys of the past, also creeps into my pots, which are both functional and decorative. I am a lover of mid-century modern design – simple forms, curves and lines with accents of colour and an exposure of the raw material.
