2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray

Emma’s ceramics are inspired by the concrete formwork surfaces found in Brutalist architecture.

Her distinct industrial slip-cast terracotta pieces have rich textured surfaces enhanced with contrasting glazes. The use of local terracotta slip with its beautiful rich red tone, also roots her work in the urban landscape of her north west environment.

Emma’s porcelain Strata collections are cast in moulds stacked in layers. The work attempts to evoke a sense of movement and each piece is unique.
