2026 Taking part in Potfest in the City- Glasgow

I am a sculptor working mainly in white earthenware and paper clay.
I like to create a Matt finish with contrasting textures. For this I use underglaze fired matt with various glaze accents. To create a soft colour effect I use layers of acrylic paint sometimes with accents of gold leaf.

My work is always figurative, often whimsical and emotive. Animals are symbolically represented as ‘the other person’ in the narrative. I create ideas based on my personal experience, past and present relationships and the environment where I live or have travelled through. I take inspiration from my Scottish heritage, art history and native animals of Australia, New Zealand and Scotland where I lived.

I believe my stories are similar to others and in this I hope to connect with viewers who may find their own story and a connection within my work.
