2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens Melton Mowbray

I make small elements to create a larger sculpture. Small pieces, each unique that could stand alone but are stronger combined as a whole.

A celebration of fish. My mother came from the fishing village of Musselburgh. But these fish are tied in a Japanese way. I love the patterns created by repetition. Again and again making the same thing, using the simplest of tools pressed into the clay. Each fish will be unique, but just one small element in the whole sculpture, scheme of things.

I have been making fish now for over 30 years and welcome the opportunity of showing them at Potfest !
