Gerry Grant – Fangfoss Pottery
2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Autumn
Gerry has been a potter for nearly 50 years. He works in the traditional techniques of wheel-thrown ware. As a production potter, he likes making functional pots and delights in the knowledge of their everyday use by his customers.
His work is inspired by the simplicity of form of the potters from the early 20th century. His shapes are clear and simple with little ornamentation. He enjoys experimenting with the fluidity of overlapping glazes.
At Potfest, expect to see large Moon Vases and tall vessels, interspersed with a range of table ware. Function and form entwined together!
