Jana Griffiths Ceramics

2025 – Taking part in Potfest South East – Glynde Place and Potfest South West – Shaftesbury

Driven by the desire to connect with and preserve the beauty of nature, the work highlights human boundaries. It focuses on wild plants and the human perception of them as weeds when they encroach into our spaces. The tactile porcelain vessels have in-built design using nerikomi technique without surface decoration and reflect our deep-rooted superiority and exploitation of nature.

Jana graduated with Ceramics and Glass BA(Hons) in 2023 after discovering ceramics at her local art centre where she is now a tutor of ceramics. Jana’s graduate work was selected for the British Ceramics Biennial Fresh 2023, as well as the Wales Contemporary 2023.
