Pottery Beginnings:
I have always been the arty sort, drawing and making things from a young age. After school I went to art college in my hometown of Swindon (In Wiltshire) where I initially specialised in ceramics. I mostly produced larger sculptural pieces.
I went to university to study ceramics at Bristol UWE, where I got my first proper time on the potters wheel. After leaving university I followed a career in office work, but always had a big place in my heart for ceramics and art!
Reunited with my love: Ceramics!
After a break of over 2 decades, I returned to ceramics. After which I now spend any spare moment I have working with clay. I am in the studio almost every day, producing work, glazing or teaching!! I do truly love this art form, working with clay and the infinite possibilities contained within each bag!!
