2026 – Taking part in Potfest South West – Shaftesbury

I live and work in a county of diverse geology. I aim for my work to reflect my feelings for the landscape and its formation.

I use thrown, and sometimes altered stoneware forms.Local clays and rocks are used to produce slips and inclusions, and with wood ash from local vegetation comprise the body of my glazes.

The ancient rocks of The Wrekin are used to produce the flowing lava glazes. The glazes and slips are layered,and sometimes scaped back.I want the layers to slide,overlap,even part company,giving both movement and texture: a reflection of their volcanic origins
