Michaela & Chris Goan – Seatree Argyll

2026 – Taking part in Potfest Suffolk – Haughley Park, Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Autumn and Potfest in the City – Glasgow

Chris and Michaela Goan collaborate under the name seatree, combining ceramics and their own deeply moving poetry. Specialising in hand-built raku and stoneware artworks, their practice explores human interaction with our beautiful but broken world.

Their work brings together sculptural, functional and wall-mounted installations, characterised by a colour palette inspired by their Argyll location. Some of the clay is lighter, allowing detail, texture and marks to shine; some of the clay is darker and grittier, addressing themes of climate justice and ecological resilience.
