2026- Taking part in Potfest in the City- Glasgow

Nadia Jones is a ceramic artist based in Glasgow, Scotland, creating functional and ornamental vessels on the pottery wheel. Working with terracotta, stoneware, and porcelain, her practice is rooted in an attentive relationship with material, process, and touch. She began working with clay in 2014 and has since developed a practice shaped by repetition, curiosity, and a deep respect for the craft.

Her work explores the tension between intention and material, allowing intuitive movement to leave visible traces within each form. Marks and textures act as quiet records of the making process, revealing moments of pressure, pause, and response. Nadia is drawn to the distinct character of each clay body and to the need for continual adaptation, adjusting her movements in conversation with the material itself. Each piece is approached as an act of discovery, balancing control and surrender.

Alongside her own practice, Nadia manages a pottery studio in Glasgow city center, where she teaches others how to work with clay. Teaching and sharing the making process remain central to her work, informing the sense of care and human presence that runs through everything she creates.
