2026 – Taking part in Potfest Suffolk – Haughley Park and Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray
My journey began when I found myself fascinated with the qualities and unpredictability of clay.
I went on to gain a degree in ceramics at Bath Spa University which heightened my interest in clay even further.
I design and make from my garden studio in Wiltshire. The countryside provides me with a never ending source of inspiration for my work.
Having a love for nature, I slowly began to incorporate it into my work. I started pressing botanicals found in my garden or out on dog walks into the clay body and really loved the detail captured in this process. Also, as I use real plants, it makes each piece totally unique. No two pieces are ever the same.
I’m really drawn to blue tones on clay which is reflected in my work.
I do love to throw little forms on the pottery wheel too as well as handbuilding. Again, I tend to use blue glaze tones as well as experimenting with some lava glazes.
