2026- Taking part in Potfest in the Park – Hutton-in-the-Forest
I work in porcelain — a material I love for its purity, its sensitivity, and its quiet strength, a delicate white canvas that rewards a careful hand, yet always demands respect. My work is wheel thrown with intention- functional forms rooted in everyday use as well as larger art pieces.
I am drawn to the poetry of surface and space. I like to incorporate brush marks and linear gestures, using each pot’s surface as a kind of landscape. These subtle, abstract impressions evoke a sense of place, scale and memory — a quiet reflection of the natural world.
After three decades of working in porcelain, I aim to preserve freshness and simplicity, allowing each piece to breathe and reveal its own character. I want my vessels to feel alive in use: modest everyday objects, but with a subtle resonance.
Ultimately, I hope my work offers more than function: a valued and tangible connection between craft, material and lived space.
