Taking part in Potfest Suffolk – Haughley Park
The work of award winning ceramic artist Sarah Kay Waters specialises in bridging the gap between fine art and craft. The core foundation of her porcelain pieces mirrors and explores the fragility and strength in the human condition with the delicacy of porcelain.
These one off pieces focus on the repeat, chaotic and erratic building blocks that mimic our natural world and the human condition.
When immersed in the forms, the natural flow of the objects can seem chaotic and erratic. The movement and the flow capture the light and shadows of other ideals drawing the viewer into the beauty of simplicity and pattern, to the light, shadows forms in porcelain.
Now living in Wivenhoe, Essex, Sarah graduated Colchester school of art in 2019 and continues to develop her meticulously hand crafted, vibrant porcelain sculptural forms.
This up-and-coming artist is one to watch.
