2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Park – Hutton-in-the-Forest and Potfest in the City- Glasgow

Landscape and geology are what drive my work, both in terms of structure, form and surface texture. I often use a dynamic approach to clay; finger marks, stretching, cuts and joins left prominent, imperfections embraced, so that a viewer is drawn into the emotion of the making. To achieve an expression within the clay, wild clay and grog are sometimes added, then to keep the textures, I hand-build occasionally using wheel thrown elements. I use a variety of firing methods including wood firing and gas to achieve the surface qualities in my vessels.
