2026 – Taking part in Potfest Suffolk – Haughley Park

I use the potters wheel and plaster lathe to design my tableware, then create a plaster mould from the designs. I slip cast up to 7 layers of coloured porcelain and carve back into them. The carved pattern usually represents an abstract handprint on the pot. Excess coloured clay is reclaimed, marbled up with the nerikomi technique, and used to slab build the attachments and other pots. The philosophies of Emotionally durable design and the Slow Movement inspire my work.
