2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the City – Glasgow

I am a Glasgow based ceramicist making wheel-thrown work in stoneware clay, rooted in a close attention to form, material, and process. I am drawn to the quiet rituals of domestic life—gathering, arranging, using—and to the subtle rhythms that shape our everyday environments. These themes inform my exploration of vessel forms that are both functional and decorative, familiar yet gently abstracted.

I find inspiration in the world around me: the linearity and repetition of architectural spaces, the colours and textures of natural elements—seaweed, tree bark, rock formations. My surfaces often reference these tones, with glazes developed from waste materials like wood ash, and colours drawn from the clay body itself. This connection between form, process, and material is central to my practice.

I aim to create work that is precise, quietly distinctive, and grounded in a sense of place and purpose.
