2024 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Autumn

I make gargoyles, grotesques, and pots decorated with images from medieval animal art. These fascinating forms first caught my imagination back in the mid 80’s whilst studying Studio Ceramics at Harrogate College of Art.

Work as an engineer took me all around the world and a potter’s wheel was always part of the luggage. Now, I have a small workshop near Perth, Scotland. Here I work in stoneware making gargoyles, both functional and decorative, and related pieces. Everybody should have a gargoyle in their life! Come and see me at the Listening Owl Ceramics stall.
