Wayne is a Crail-based ceramic artist inspired both by the industrial textures of Scottish fishing vessels and by vintage sailing charts.

He throws contemporary forms on the wheel, combining coloured slips with terra sigillata and layered glazes.

Screen-printed fragments of vintage maps, photos, and drawings are used to decorate surfaces, evoking history and playing with scale. These add to the patinas which explore Scottish coastal landscapes.

Wayne shows in galleries across Scotland and is happy to discuss commissions.
