Eric rediscovered his passion for clay and set up a home studio in Glasgow after relocating with his family from Hong Kong. Balancing family life with creative work has shaped his approach to pottery, where he values patience, close observation, and the quiet satisfaction of steady effort. After gaining valuable experience exhibiting at Potter in the City – Glasgow, he continues to fine-tune his skills, explore new possibilities, and stay open to future chances to show his work.
Working primarily on the potter’s wheel, he creates functional tableware for everyday use — bowls, cups and plates designed to be practical, comfortable to hold, and part of daily rituals. He enjoys experimenting with form and texture, and develops glazes to achieve subtle, natural finishes that invite touch and use, making each piece a part of daily life.
