Amy Hamill – Hamill Makes
2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Spring
Having studied in Belfast and Hereford, Amy now works for CUP Ceramics where she teaches, and makes full time. She creates thrown functional ware in stoneware clay bodies, focusing on the glazed finish.
Amy combines her passion for the weird and spooky with pottery to hand make high quality stoneware and porcelain functional ware for every day use, alongside trinkets, decorations, and jewellery.
Her everyday range draws inspiration from her coastal upbringing, bringing turquoise and greens to porcelain functional ware, or deep tenmoku finishes to black stoneware functional ware.
Her spooky range stems from a love of horror and all things occult, and is a playful but refined take on homewares for those with an alternative home.
