Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray
Inspired by nature: made in clay. I make decorative stoneware for outdoors. My work is decorated with bespoke glazes. All work is frost-proof and can be displayed outdoors all year round. Most of my work is thrown at the potters-wheel and subsequently refined through addition of clay as well as cutting and sculpting. The resulting pieces are instantly recognisable shapes like poppy seed heads and rose hips. Recently I started exploring new making and decorating techniques using brushing of engobes, mono-printing and drawing with ceramic pencils and wax crayons on hand-built and altered ceramic pieces
