I am a figurative ceramicist working predominantly with slab construction, slip, and underglaze techniques. My work is characterised by a vibrant palette and direct drawing onto the clay surface. I am a constant observer and doodler, drawing influence from everything around me. I am particularly inspired by the childlike simplicity, flattened perspective, and rich detail found within Folk Art sculpture and naïve art.
Connecting personal narratives with people is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work; that feeling never diminishes.
