2026 – Taking part in Potfest Suffolk – Haughley Park and Potfest Scotland – Christmas
I have worked as a ceramicist for the last 25 years. My work is predominantly figurative. I like to explore the dialogue that can be created by grouping two or more subjects together.
I aim to make sculptures that could only be created with clay. I Experiment with texture and explore the way clay can be stretched and manipulated to give a sense of movement. I enjoy the way you can break rules to create exciting new surfaces, and its challenging and temperamental nature! The inclusion of a base within many of my sculptures (which often becomes the main focus) allows me to experiment further with colours and form, often using them to reflect the Cumbria landscape in which I live.
