Caroline Lee Ceramics

Taking part in Potfest in the Pens Penrith – Autumn

Caroline works from her studio at home in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Her recent stoneware work is the culmination of deep exploration of green glazes and her pieces are often further enhanced using melted glass.

Her work often has a botanical theme and she loves to use impressed decoration, such as the fossilised print which remains after a leaf or lace has been rolled into clay.

Much of her stoneware is created for gardens. These include garden wall pieces and her popular fatsia-japonica-inspired leaves on rods. A body of Raku work always features in her portfolio and she often works on a very small scale creating fine porcelain jewellery which are often glazed using her palette of greens.
Caroline has a following for her unique, seasonal decorations which are glazed on both sides.
