Cazz Nash

2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens Penrith – Spring

Hey! I’m Cazz and I make ceramics from my pottery studio on the outskirts of Carlisle, Cumbria. My journey began at the Cumbria Institute of the Arts, where I completed my degree and Masters in Contemporary Applied Arts.

I work mainly with porcelain using the slip casting technique; alongside a bit of stoneware for hand-built pieces. My work is heavily inspired by my beekeeping and the flora and fauna found in the landscape around me.

Each piece is a celebration of maximalism, combining multiple techniques including underglazing, resist, screen printing, bubble glazing, textured papers, decal transfers, mark-making and 24 karat gold lustre. No two pieces are ever the same.

I hope the joy I find in the alchemy of making is felt in every piece. These ceramics are more than objects; they are storytellers, each carrying a small part of my world with them.
