2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Autumn
Having just had a year’s sabbatical from ceramics, I am back to making in 2026 with new energy, new ideas and plans to tweak my more familiar makes. My emphasis will still be on unusual pieces inspired by woodland creatures but I hope to make some larger, more standout pieces.
Sculptural in form, I often intend my pieces to be placed in garden settings, although lots of previous customers have placed them imaginatively inside their homes. I like my creations to have individuality and character so it is always a privilege to know that they are making a home in someone else’s life.
Stocked up with many bags of my favourite heavily grogged white stoneware clay body, I look forward to seeing who emerges to join my more familiar hares, hedgehogs, frogs and owls!
