Taking part in Potfest South East – Glynde Place

Inspired by snow covered mountains and rocky surfaces, Effie’s work is a response to the landscape and the human need to connect with it through art practice. Clay is so directly part of the landscape/ earth itself it is inspiring to work with a material that is part of something you are trying to express. Accepting the strengths and weaknesses of each of the different clays and glazes, Effie tries to curate the inevitable accidents and unexpected results into something beautiful.
