2026- Taking part in Potfest Scotland – Scone Palace

I have a background in fine art painting but belatedly discovered a passion for working with clay, with a strong focus on wheelthrowing. I work with several stoneware clay bodies, frequently combining them to create burnished tactile surfaces and colours, celebrating the materiality of the clay.

I often utilise porcelain inlay in my work as well as stencils and geometric design; a palette of glazes is emerging, inspired by the subtle colours of my environment in the west of Scotland, where I work from my home studio.

I aim to make quiet, considered pots with care and attention to detail; pots that I hope will be a joy to use in daily life.
