Gwenda Jones is a ceramic sculptor based in the Midlands and Yorkshire. She holds a BA (Hons) in Three-Dimensional Design. She creates distinctive, unique animal, equine, and figurative sculptures, varying in scale, for interior and exterior settings.
Through bold texture, colour, patina, and layered form, Gwenda explores strength, resilience, and the enduring bond between humans, animals, and our environment.
Gwenda was a finalist and exhibitor in the Sculpture category of the Woman in Art Prize 2025. Her work has been widely exhibited nationally, in both selected and prize exhibitions. Notable venues include The Mall Galleries, Marylebone, London, and the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA). She also shows in numerous independent galleries, attracting new and repeat collectors in the UK and the USA.
Gwenda discovered sculpting during and after a successful career in commercial and high-end residential interior design. Through her love of clay, she runs inclusive workshops with individuals, art societies, community groups, and SEND participants.
