2026- Taking part in Potfest in the City – Glasgow

McD Pots is an emerging Glasgow-based potter specialising in functional wheel-thrown stoneware. Embracing the natural surface qualities of the clay, she uses often uses marbled clay and wax-resist techniques to leave parts of the surfaces of her wares un-glazed. Slips and underglazes incorporate decorative elements into her work. Having grown up by the sea on the West Coast of Scotland she is influenced by aquatic flora and fauna, and is also drawn to celestial imagery; she often plays on these themes either through bold illustration, or more abstractly through texture and shape.
