I like to make simple understated beautiful pieces for everyday use. A coffee mug that feels restful in the hands, or perhaps a vase for arranging flowers. I’m drawn to carving, in particular lines and geometric shapes.
I started pottery as a beginner in 2016 at the Seven Limes Pottery in Manchester and continue to rent studio space there. Steady progress alongside full-time work in the biotech industry has led me to this point.
I’m inspired by individual pieces brought home from Japan, collected in the UK, and from other countries. I find pottery to be a calm creative activity, which makes it a desirable contrast to other areas of life!
