I make colourful, functional, domestic earthenware pots for the table and for cooking in.

The designs are based on the beautiful countryside of Mid Devon where my studio is based.

Whilst walking my dog I collect and form idea’s to transpose onto the work creating a stylistic visual language. The patchwork patterns created by the landscape and tree’s are very consistent within my work. No two pot’s are the same as I like the fluidity of working freehand, drawing and using scraffitto and layering the slips to form the decoration typical of my work.

I also make larger statement pieces that I call “Painting’s on clay”.
