A ceramicist inspired by his time spent working as an oceanographer in the Arctic.

James makes a range of unique sculptural forms representing icebergs, glacial landscapes, and monoliths. He also make a variety of pots, vases, and bowls within the same theme. Oxide washes and matte glazes are used to decorate with blues, greys and browns against a white clay body.

The Arctic is a natural sculpture park and an inspiration to create pieces which hopefully draw attention to the beauty of the landscape which is being lost to climate change
