2024 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Autumn

I make sculptural pots using a variety of handbuilding techniques with stoneware clay. My pieces are very much inspired by the steep hills and cloughs around my West Yorkshire home. My artistic journey began painting landscapes in watercolour, always trying to keep my work loose and abstracted. This has influenced how I approach pottery.

I also make some functional pots: bowls, plates, burners and candleholders with a similar naturalistic aesthetic.
