2026 – Taking part in Potfest Suffolk – Haughley Park and Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray
I am a contemporary stoneware potter, blending traditional techniques with modern, abstract expression. My work focuses on slipware, where I use porcelain slips applied in painterly, layered motifs, often in striking black and white. I draw inspiration from functional forms but enjoy distorting and reimagining them through throwing, squashing, and hand-building, creating pieces that balance utility with a sculptural quality.
I work wet-on-wet, adding handles and sprigs while the clay is still highly plastic, and use layered oxides over glazes to enhance texture and form. My aim is to celebrate the intersection of tradition and innovation in every piece.
