2026 – Taking part in Potfest South East – Glynde Place

I have worked in clay off and on for many years – finally setting up my permanent studio in 2019. All my work is functional and although I still enjoy the freedom of handbuilding, I work mostly on the wheel – in porcelain and stoneware – and develop my own slips and glazes.

I’ve loved the coastline of the North East of England since a child, and it still inspires me – as does a long-enduring interest in Japanese crafts. I use the Japanese/Korean technique of ‘hakeme’ to add movement to my work and to lend textural interest.
