2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Spring

Their work primarily involves hand-built animal sculptures, using stoneware clay to
typically make sheep, alpacas and highland cows. These are then finished by raku
firing to achieve the classic crackles.

Their pieces are inspired by growing up in Cumbria where they were immersed in the
rural wildlife and local farms. Including the iconic Herdwick sheep always being a
familiar face. The landscapes of this region have always subconsciously influenced
their work.

They found the combination of hand building and raku ensures each piece is unique,
with every animal having distinct personality traits brought to life by the
unpredictability of raku.
