Based in rural Melbourne, South Derbyshire, Lucy enjoys combining her observations from nature with her love of patterns to create light-hearted functional and decorative ceramics. Dogs, particularly her own dog, birds and fish are common subjects for decoration, which are applied using slips with paper resist stencilling and underglaze screen printing. An escape from the more serious aspects of life, Lucy’s aim is to convey and share the joy she has in making with whoever sees and touches her whimsical work.
