2026 – Taking part in Potfest South West – Shaftesbury and Potfest in the Pens – Penrith Spring
Nancy’s work is rooted in the UK landscape. Using a combination of thrown elements and slabs she creates functional pieces with sculptural sensibility that reflect her interest in industrial form, as she experiences it in relation to the natural world. Strong, meticulously rendered shapes with clean, minimal silhouettes (cooling towers, gas bottles, cast machine parts) receive surfaces that speak of the organic – woodland, valley and coastal wilderness. This combination of references to certain manmade, industrial objects with a vibrant natural palette, results in objects that evoke a quiet luxury, and echo our familiar surroundings in a playful way.
