Patrick O’Donohue
2025 – Taking part in Potfest in the Park – Hutton-in-the-Forest
Patrick O’Donohue has 35 years’ experience as a Ceramic Artist. He studied at Wolverhampton University from 1989, gaining a BA Hons in Ceramics and later completed an MA in Art and Design. Patrick creates distinctive wheel-thrown pottery that captures the essence of abstraction. His recent work explores the beauty of darkness and his painterly pieces reference shadows and light, inspired by the images that remain as shapes or glimpses of colour and imagined forms. He captures images that blur or sharpen in the changing light, that are distorted by shadows and abstracted by his own perceptions and ways of seeing.
