Sally and Charles – Streuli + Streuli Ceramics

Sally and Charles collaborate to make a range of largely wheel-thrown stoneware vessels. These are hand carved, painted with bright underglaze colours or wax resist on the insides, and contrasting dark oxides on the outsides. Sometimes enamel and gold lustre are added to create highly ornate but functional bowls and vases.
The design of the pots stems from traditional ceramic wares, often from the rich history of blue and white patterns from around the world, but especially from the decorative customs of the English Potteries and the Far East.
