Shirley Vauvelle
2026 – Taking part in Potfest in the Park – Hutton-in-the-Forest
Shirley Vauvelle hand builds sculptural forms in stoneware and porcelain, exploring balance of form and the subtle character created through the smallest additions or removals. Many of her pieces are built with inserts and components that can be altered, allowing the composition of a piece to shift and evolve. She creates a sculptural world inhabited by Carrier Beasts, Land Seekers, Lookers, Flower and Seed Thinkers, and Warriors, coexisting with plants, fish and birds under one universal sky. Each piece encourages discovery, offering narrative and individuality within carefully considered form.
