Eve Shepherd Sculptures

2026 – Taking part in Potfest South East – Glynde Place

Eve Shepherd artist has worked as a contemporary figurative sculptor for over 34 years. She has created many large bronze public sculptures which can be seen in Cardiff city centre, the National Maritime Museum, London, Cape Town, France, Aswan and Isreal etc. She has won several international sculpture awards for these works.

Her sculpture is held in many private and museum collections throughout the world.

She draws influence from myth, folklore and is often a social commentary, highlighting the hidden parts of ourselves or of society. At present, her work focuses on our place as humans within nature, draws influence from history, especially hidden or silenced histories. Her work ofter explores the fluidity of gender and sexuality.

Working with the hybrid form Eve plays with all the states of being a human-animal. Her preferred material is ceramic or bronze and she holds a strong belief that the relationship between artist and material is paramount.

Eve Shepherd’s Betty Campbell Monument, Cardiff : “It is great art, but perhaps more importantly, it is great public art.”
