2026 – Taking part in Potfest Scotland – Scone Palace and Potfest in the Pens – Melton Mowbray
My ceramic work is shaped by my psychotherapy practice. Working with clients as a therapist has given me a strong awareness of how emotions and psychological states shape human experience, and I translate those insights into material form.
The work is commonly themed around the Hare. Often surprising to people, this originated many years ago from my work in a prison where the juxtaposition of both hypervigilance and vulnerability were considered.
The work is intentionally relational, offering a quiet invitation to explore shared emotion. The clay has become a medium through which ideas such as resilience and repair can be explored in a tangible way.
Though rooted in serious themes some of my work carries a thread of gentle humour, opening a space for connection and reflection.
